Ubuntu Virtual Machine for VMware.

We have built a virtual machine  running Ubuntu 9.04,
that can be used under  VMware player.  It is configured
similarly to the machines in GS930 and GS228 that
are running Ubuntu.

To install this,  first  go to the  VMware website
and download VMware player.    Install it.

A virtual machine  that is available as a  a set of
zip files is  ub1.zip ,   ub2.zip ,  and  ub3.zip
These  files total about 3.8 gigabytes.

Download and extract the zip files into a common directory.
A list of files in the directory should look like this:

Ubuntu.nvram
Ubuntu.vmdk
Ubuntu.vmsd
Ubuntu.vmx
Ubuntu.vmxf

Ubuntu-s001.vmdk
Ubuntu-s002.vmdk
Ubuntu-s003.vmdk
Ubuntu-s004.vmdk
Ubuntu-s005.vmdk
Ubuntu-s006.vmdk
Ubuntu-s007.vmdk
Ubuntu-s008.vmdk
Ubuntu-s009.vmdk
Ubuntu-s010.vmdk
Ubuntu-s011.vmdk

Run VMware player,  and point it to the
Ubuntu.vmx file
in this directory.
    Start it up.

An account on the virtual machine with administrative
access is "ubroot".   The password is "2Bor!2B" .
