Usb drive under linux ?

Is there any way to use a usb drive on the Fedora machines in GS 228?

Under Fedora 3, a usb flash drive will be automatically mounted when
you insert it. An icon for it labeled 'Removable Media' will appear
on the Gnome desktop. You can view or browse the files in it by
clicking on that icon.

In a terminal window at a shell prompt you can access the files
in it via the path /media/usbdisk.

To unmount it before removing it, right click on the desktop icon
and select 'Unmount Volume'.
