SSH to Linux PCs from home

I'm working on an assignment for class. I normally work on my home PC or
lectura, but for this particular assignment, I need Linux running on an x86.
Is there an easy way to log into on of the deparment PCs running
Linux?

SSH to lectura and then from there you can SSH to any of 'fd01' through 'fd08'
which are the Linux boxes in GS228 (they have names of cats on them in
the lab).
