CS Department's FAQ Knowledgebase .: Academic Services .: Undergraduate .: Major Admission .: Can I earn a C in a CS class that isn't specifically required for pre-CS?

Can I earn a C in a CS class that isn't specifically required for pre-CS?

Does it matter if I earn a grade lower than B in a CS course that isn't specifically required for the pre-CS major?

In order to be guaranteed admission to the CS major, you must earn grades of A or B in ALL C SC and math courses (at the level of calc I and higher).  If you take additional C SC and MATH courses while in pre-CS status, all of those courses and grades will be considered as part of your application.
