How do I start the graduation check-out process?

I'm planning to graduate at the end of this year.  What do I need to do?

In order to graduate, you need to formally file for degree candidacy.

If you are planning to graduate with honors, your first step is to meet with an advisor in the Honors College.  They will initiate your degree check.  If you are not in the Honors College or you have already met with the Honors advisor, your next step is to meet with the CS advisor, Rebecca Mitchell.  She will review all of your coursework and determine what courses you still need to complete in order to meet all degree requirements.  If you have multiple majors or degrees, you will need to meet with an advisor for each program.

You are strongly advised to initiate your degree check the semester prior to your anticipated graduation.  This will allow you time to complete any unexpected outstanding degree requirements.  If you find out the month before graduation that you’re missing a required class, you’ll likely have no choice but to postpone your graduation.
