How can I access my email with wireless?

If you are connected to UAWiFi:

  • connections are allowed to any POP3, POP3s, IMAP, or IMAPs server
  • smtpgate.email.arizona.edu may be used as the outbound (SMTP) server

If you are connected to UAPublic or UAWireless:

  • connections are allowed to any Secure IMAP (IMAPs) server
  • smtpgate.email.arizona.edu may be used as the outbound (SMTP) server
  • connections to POP3, IMAP, or POP3s servers are only allowed through the UITS Wireless VPN
(see the VPN Client FAQ for more info)

If you are connected to CS Main Network (faculty/staff only):

  • POP and IMAP connections are limited to the CS mail servers. This is because private IP addresses are assigned and there is no proxy server for mail.

  • smtp.cs.arizona.edu may be used as the outbound (SMTP) server

webmail access will work with any of the above wireless networks since it is web-based.
