I opened a Word document attachment and saved it -- where is it?

By default, attachments are extracted from the email message and stored in c:/Documents and Settings/username/Local Settings/Temp (where username is your login name). If you make changes to the document and save it -- without using Save as... -- it will be saved to this directory.
